ABSTRACT Objectives:To introduce the clinical use of a “second” way radial artery for monitoring the adult patient. It will review the anatomy of radial artery. Methods:40 adult patients were needed to be used invasive radial artery for monitoring. After fixing in special position of fore arm, invasive radial artery for monitoring was done using indwelling cannulae (22G). Results:33 patients were done in the first time of puncture.5 patients were done in the second time. 2 patients were done in other methods for invasive artery monitoring because of failure in the second point of invasive radial artery monitoring. Conclusions:The second way of invasive radial artery for monitoring the adult patient affords a new method for invasive blood pressure monitoring. In prone position, The second way of invasive radial artery for monitoring shows more convenience.
