Metheds:We analyzed 182 patients with nosocomial infection in the ICU of third hospital of Bengbu from 2001 to 2004. Results:The rate of nosocomial infection was 21.0%. Lower respiratory tract infection accounted for 51.4%,urinary infection 34.6%. Infection rates in patient receiving mechanical ventilation, with tracheotomy, and with urinary catheter were 85.0%,50.5% and 15.6%,respectively. Gram-negative organisms accounted for 60.0%,gram-positive organisms organisms 18.9% and the fungi 21.1%. The most common isolate of gram-positive bacilli was staphylococcus epidemidis, and E. coli in gram-negative bacilli. Conclusion:The rate of nosocomial infection in ICU is high. Most pathogens showed significant resistance to the most commonly used antibiotics. In order to control nosocomial infection ,it is necessary to adopt non-antibiotics stategy and enhance the control and prevention of nosocomial infection associated factors. Reasonable application of antibiotics is also important. Key words:Intensive care unit;Nosocomial infection;antibiotics |
